Samsung is continuing its PR-campaign for the Galaxy Fold by allowing topnotch vloggers hands-on time with the Galaxy Fold. The Korean company sent their first foldable smartphone to the big name vloggers, hoping for positive reviews and millions of views. That strategy seems to work.
Marques Brownlee (aka MKHBD) has 8.3 million subscribers on YouTube. He came out impressed: ‘Forget the crease, folding phones just took a step up. This is dope tech.’
Lewis Hilsenteger has a whopping 14 million subscribers. He’s lyrical about the phone, calling it ‘the most futuristic smartphone’ he’s ever tried.
Casey Neistat (11 million subscribers) made a video in typical Neistat-style with lots of weird drone shots, visual jokes and skateboard standuppers. Neistat says that he’s excited about foldable display technology ‘because it allows companies to build phones that work well when needed and at the same time double as computers, doing what’s needed when you need just that.’ However, he’s critical about the crease in this first generation product.
