Phone buyers think foldables are too expensive

A poll has shown that consumers belief foldable phones are still too pricey for mass adoption. The Japanese business newspaper Nikkei Asian Review asked people what they think of the prices of the Samsung Galaxy Fold ($2000) and the Huawei Mate X ($2600).

A massive 75 percent said they were not willing to pay more than US$1000 for the privilege of owning a foldable device. The poll, that was conducted on Facebook and Twitter, attracted 1900 participants. Only 24% said they were interested in a foldable phone at all.
