A picture of the upcoming foldable Motorola Razr phone has leaked online. It shows someone holding the device half opened, revealing part of the flexible display. Another leak shows the phone opened a bit further, with its secondary outside display, rumoured to be measuring 640×460 pixels.
Earlier, pictures of what appeared to be Motorola’s new foldable phone leaked on Chinese social media. They showed the new Razr model with flexible display and its packaging. Also, hobbyist renders of the device appeared online.
Motorola has announced a press conference on November 12, teasing the new phone. Reports in February suggested that Motorola intends to relaunch the classic RAZR phone as an (expensive) foldable screen device in the autumn. It was later confirmed by a Motorola manager.
The design bears a resemblance to the iconic Motorola phone, with the chin on the bottom of the device. In the mid-nineties, it was the slimmest handset on the market. One half of the device was a keypad, while the other half was the display. The device, which popularised the flip-phone form factor, may make its comeback with a foldable display soon.
