Chinese manufacturer Nubia has officially launched the flexible Alpha smartwatch today. The device will be available in China first, other countries will follow later. The Nubia Alpha isn’t the most handsome smartwatch in the world. It’s clunky and big, but admittedly, it’s the first smartwatch with a flexible display.
The Chinese version will have a built-in sim card, whereas the version for international markets will only be getting the Bluetooth variant. The flexible OLED display is manufactured by Visionox. It is a 4-inch flexible display with 960 by 192 pixels resolution. The device has a a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 CPU with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of storage. The device does not run Android but a homegrown OS called αOS.
