Samsung is putting the Galaxy Fold display under heavy stress testing. Automated folding machines are bending the device thousands of times, as can be seen in a video released today by the Korean company.
The Galaxy Fold can outlast 200,000 folds and unfolds or around five years of use, if used 100 times a day, the company says in a statement. The video appears to be an answer to criticism that the Galaxy Fold display has a visible crease in the middle, where the hinge is. In the Samsung video released today, no such crease can be seen, even after 200.000 folds.
Yesterday, Foldable News already reported that Samsung spokesperson Cella Sin denied rumors that the Fold would have wrinkles in the screen. The device will be available in shops around the world starting April 26.
